Responsible tourism

Corporate Responsible Tourism, Industry Partnerships & Standards

Purpose: build a formal programme for tourism corporations and sector organisations. This is the corporate-facing pillar and must remain distinct from the school/youth programme. It converts responsible tourism from general policy language into assessments, standards, training, measurable CSI/ESG investment and operational improvement.

Corporate implementation cycle

• 1. Risk breakdown / overview / assessment.

• 2. Gap analysis against agreed responsible-tourism, safeguarding, safety and community-impact criteria.

• 3. Awareness campaign targeted to the sector and workforce.

• 4. Policy, procedure, toolkit and reporting-pathway support.

• 5. Phased rollout by site, business unit or region.

• 6. Community / school / conservation investment selection.

• 7. ROI and impact measurement.

• 8. Annual review, lessons learned and corrective action.
